I was a shy, intimidated 15-year-old who hugged the back wall of the dance class when I met Ferly. I had limited dance experience and I never thought I would ever actually look forward to being seen on camera or stage. Working with Ferly gave me incredible confidence. Ferly is the only dance teacher I’ve ever worked with who encourages her students to focus more on performing than getting every step down perfectly. She teaches you to be present and helps you learn to let go of your self-conscious thoughts and break out of your comfort zone. I believe dancing with Ferly is why at 29 I still have the drive to want to be seen and perform whether it’s on camera, a dance class, or out with friends on the dance floor! About 20 years ago I gave up my passion for dance and began to focus on my career. From the moment I was introduced to Ferly Prado earlier this year, a spark lit up in me that cannot be put out. I never thought that at almost 40 I’d be dancing again, exploring new possibilities, creating, performing and essentially rewriting my story. Ferly has created a space for women, through dance and connection, where all of these things are possible. Ferly’s passion and values shine through her teachings, which can be applied to both dance and life in general. Her energy is infectious and her insights and perspectives will make a best-selling book one day. It has been an absolute privilege and honor to know and learn from Ferly, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

As a stay at home mom, and someone who started dancing off and on in my mid 30’s I was looking for a place to dance at 41 years. When I took my first class with Ferly she was so welcoming, fun, and brought so much positive energy to the room. Ferly also has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and seen. She really puts a lot of time and energy into every dancer. I have learned more from Ferly in just 1 year than I have learned in years of dancing at other studios. She takes the time to explain the steps and helps us individually improve in the areas we are struggling with. I have never had an instructor take as much time and energy as Ferly does with her students/dancers. I have grown so much as a dancer and gained more confidence in myself because of Ferly. There were times I didn’t believe in myself, but she believed in me. Ferly has given me so many fun and amazing experiences, such as performing, photo shoots, and music videos.
